Anne McEvoy was born near Manchester, England and educated at Queen Mary College, University of London. She worked in publishing for several years, specializing in theater and the performing arts, before becoming a full-time writer and editor. She works mainly in the areas of theater, dance, fashion and design, and is the author of Fashions of a Decade: The 1990s and The American West in the Costume and Fashion Source Books set, all for Chelsea House. She lives in London and Edinburgh.
