Heather Barnett Veague received her BA from the University of California, Los Angeles and her Ph.D. from Harvard University. She is the author of several journal articles about mental illness and other titles in this Psychological Disorders series. She is currently a child and adolescent psychologist in Massachusetts.

Christine Adamec has authored and coauthored many books for Facts On File, including The Encyclopedia of Cancer and Cancer Medicine (2019), The Encyclopedia of Infectious Diseases (2020), and numerous other titles on pivotal medical and psychological issues.
