About the Author(s)

Jonathon Green is one of Britain's leading lexicographers. His many credits include the Macmillan Dictionary of Contemporary Slang and Chasing the Sun: Dictionary-Makers and the Dictionaries They Made.

Nicholas J. Karolides received his Ph.D. from New York University and currently teaches literature at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. He is the author of several books on censorship, including 100 Banned Books from Facts on File.
